The citizens in the nearby village of Rudry have always thought Ravensoar Academy was an elite school for the gifted. Little do they know that the students running around in the old Welsh castle are gifted beyond their imaginations.
Since 1692 the school has housed more than a million young witches and wizards eager to learn magic. It has been listed as the 4th best Wizarding School (below Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang) and has a variety of classes with excellent instructors.
But behind the glowing reputation there is tragedy. Since the school celebrated it's 314th anniversary, the suicide rate has reached an all time high. Teachers have blamed themselves because of the heavy workload and friends have been left to wonder what they did or could've done.
Recently though there have been those questioning if these are really suicides or murders. The last victim had three letters written in her blood found under her hand. Only one was clear enough to be read as a "J". Was that a name? An attempt at a suicide letter? Sadly the year came to a close before anyone could do anything.
The summer has erased the end of last year from almost everyone's mind. A group has come back hoping to find more but they have to hurry. The 'suicides' are becoming more frequent and the Headmistress is reluctant to send the students home, confident things will settle down.
