Hello!
You're likely here because you want to know more about what goes on here at centuries old, yeah? Well I'll tell you!
We're a crossover rpg, which means that there are a bunch of different fandoms mixed together. Specifically Harry Potter, Doctor Who, BBC Sherlock, classic literature, historical, and musicals/plays.
- We are generally set in the present day (so 2011). I understand that not all characters are from this time, but that makes it more fun, doesn't it? :P Of course, exceptions apply. There's no exact date.
- We accept Harry Potter characters from all eras, which includes Riddle, Marauders, Trio, and the Trio's children (is there a proper name for that era? The 'Future Hogwarts Generation' or something? :P)
- We accept Doctors and companions from all eleven Doctors.
- We accept characters from films/movies that are not animated. Also, sometimes there are films that are based off of books, etc., so please ask first. :)
- We accept all characters from classic books (and maybe even films), provided that it's either a well-known classic, or you can justify it as one. Yes, Tolkien is considered in this category.
- By 'historical', we mean any historical figures (say the recently-made-uber-famous King George VI). You're also free to make a non-canon/OC that lives in a specific time period, too.
- We accept all characters from plays or musicals. On Broadway, off-Broadway, written-by-a-completely-unknown-author. We would prefer them to be from published plays, but nothing's stopping you from creating an OC that's just like a character you wrote a play about.
- We also accept OCs.
In case you haven't noticed, we accept BBC Sherlock characters, as well as classic literature and films... Well, Sherlock Holmes happens to be well-known classic literature, and has several films, too. To start off, we will only be accepting characters from BBC's Sherlock, but if you would really like to play Sherlock from the books or films, ask first, and we'll see. :)
REGARDING PLACES:
So first off, if there is a place that you would really like to have a board for, but there isn't one, let me know, and I'll do something about that if I think it's going to be something a lot of people want (and I might just do it anyway, 'cause I'm nice).
Second, ALL characters are allowed EVERYWHERE, provided they have a good reason to be somewhere like, say, Mars, even if they aren't generally able to travel through space. If Draco Malfoy wants to go to Mars (Pigfarts, you know), and he doesn't have a rocket ship or Hermione Granger, he can. Doesn't really matter- it's not going to blow up the world or anything.
That being said, it just doesn't seem right if people who are not witches or wizards are at Hogwarts, or if somebody doesn't know the Doctor, but they're playing around in the TARDIS. Keep it reasonable.
All time periods can mingle, all fandoms can mingle... essentially, do whatever the heck you want. But like I said, keep it reasonable, and don't show a disregard for the rules.
